![]() In fact, it is decent, it is just lacking in that extra something that made the show so good. Wakko's Wish is inferior to the show, but it is definitely not bad. He turns to the flickering candle and gently blows it out before fully facing his brother and slowly falls asleep.I have loved the show Animaniacs for like forever, it is so cute, fun, witty and just something I really loved watching. But he has his siblings with him…one way or another, nothing else matters as long as they are together. ![]() He sighs, knowing a tough morning would be ahead for them. “Know that you and Dot are my world, Wak…I wouldn’t be here without you guys…” His brother’s statement is not entirely wrong… At times, he feels guilty that he may not have been a good brother to Wakko because of his increasing attention to their sister’s ailing health. His heart tugs at how much younger and frailer he looks when he’s asleep. Hearing the evenness of his brother’s deep breathing mixed with some light snores, he finally lumbers to his own mattress. Yakko’s warm smile tinges with tenderness and he bends over to kiss his brother’s forehead. Wakko’s last whisper is sweet which then tapers into silence. The statement catches Yakko a bit off guard but he composes himself and nods in response. “Can I listen to it anytime I want to? It’s been a long time we spent time together like this…” Yakko watches the eyes of his brother slowly close and he smiles warmly at him. “Yeah…like now, Wakko,” Yakko nods and scooches over, his hand never leaving its spot, “And then he would fall asleep with a big grin, knowing his big brother would be there for him in the morning…” But he wouldn’t fall asleep unless his brother was next to him.” “Every night, the king and queen would tuck the younger prince in and give many goodnight kisses. He tucks the blanket around his still body and returns to stroke his forehead. Yakko is relieved to see the sleepy smile grow just a bit bigger and a chuckle wrestles from him. They played together, ate together and laughed together.” “From then on, the first prince was never lonely again and the whole castle was filled with pranks and zaniness. The elder Warner carefully lays alongside him on the wooden floor. Yakko notices Wakko getting more sleepy so he gently sets him back so that he’s lying down. He then looked at the baby and he knew right there and then they’re going to be the best brothers ever.” Yakko points to the cap sitting crookedly on Wakko’s head. The first prince couldn’t wait to see his new brother and he had a gift for him…” Finally on the first day of summer, the second prince was born. Imagine the joy when the king and queen announced that they were going to have another son.” The servants were fine but they made boring playmates. The prince was very lonely and wanted someone to play and laugh with together. “Once upon a time, there was a king and queen and they had a son. Yakko meets halfway, allowing him to lay his head on his shoulder. Wakko nods enthusiastically and scoots closer. A sparkle of wonder fills the dark young eyes and he sits up slightly to be level with Yakko. Have I ever told you the story about the day you were born?” He sits beside his brother, leaning against the wall. Yakko needs to stop his brother from dwelling too much on these thoughts. Don’t starve yourself for my sake and hers.” It was like Wakko to be that selfless that he’d forgo food to help his hypoglycaemia rather than let his big brother and his sick sister suffer. The statement makes Yakko frown slightly when he sees the sad guilt marring that young face. “Need to make sure that you two get enough to eat before I have my share…” We’ll have food to last for at least three days.” The younger Warmer returns the gesture with a sleepy lopsided smile. He runs the fine black fur under Wakko’s red cap with careful fingers, his grin soft under the candlelight. Yakko settles the warm bundle on the smaller mattress next to his own before covering him up with the worn blanket. But the important thing is that they keep them relatively covered from the worst of the cold weather. They instead have straw mattresses and their pillows and blankets are less plush. It isn’t much compared to their sister’s. He hugs back when he feels the tight squeezes around his shoulders and waist and a muzzle pressing against his neck. The eldest Warner sibling sighs but grins softly as he approaches Wakko and picks him up. After ensuring she is breathing deeply and safe under the heavy comforter, he turns his attention to his second sibling who is blinking sleepily while still standing…albeit a bit wobbly. He knows it soothes her and makes her forget her terrible cough and her ailing condition just for a little while. Yakko always makes sure that Dot is sound asleep after she listens to her most favourite story about her birth.
